I deployed to Kosovo with the U.S. Army. Cavalry Scout. Sergeant. Honor Graduate at PLDC. Service taught me discipline. It also taught me what happens when your body takes damage for years without the right support behind it.
After the Army I spent nearly twenty years in Cincinnati real estate. Earlier in my career I worked as a personal trainer at Anytime Fitness, designing strength and conditioning programs, conducting fitness assessments, and helping onboard members. Fitness was always the constant. Training was how I managed stress, rebuilt my body after service, and stayed sharp.
Then I let it slide. Hit 190 pounds at 28 percent body fat. Doctor recommended statins for cholesterol. Instead of medication I committed to fixing it through training and nutrition. Seven months later I dropped 40 pounds, got under 15 percent body fat, and normalized my bloodwork without a prescription. That process included structured weight training, cleaned-up nutrition, joining Mosaic Climbing Gym, and competing in Spartan obstacle races.
That transformation reignited a passion for coaching. I earned my NASM CPT and my Adaptive Fitness Specialist certification. I built Resilient Movement because the people who need coaching most are the ones who never find it. Veterans with damaged bodies and no plan. Seniors losing strength and independence. People with disabilities being told they cannot train. Adults who want to move again but have no idea where to start.
Resilient Movement Co. was built to answer a simple, hard question: who is responsible for keeping people strong once the medical system is finished with them? Jeff’s work is grounded, quiet, and consistent—more about showing up than showing off.
I start with the person. Your history, your injuries, your conditions, your daily life, and what is standing in the
way.
Training should build real strength. It should improve how you move. It should be sustainable for years. I coach movement quality, progressive strength, and long-term resilience.
Every session follows the Resilient Movement Method: check-in and screening, mobility warm-up, progressive strength work, functional movement and balance, cool-down and documentation. Every session is tracked.
Progress is measured. Programming evolves as you improve.
If you’re dealing with chronic pain, a history of injury, or changes in balance and strength, “just work out more” isn’t helpful. Most fitness programs are built for healthy, pain-free bodies — not for people rebuilding trust in their movement.
Resilient Movement provides structured, one-on-one training designed to fill the gap between medical treatment and long-term physical health. Programs are built for people who need more than a gym membership. They need a mentor who understands their conditions, respects their limitations, and builds a plan that keeps them moving forward.
What we hear from new clients all the time:
“I’m always worried I’ll make my pain worse.”
“I finished physical therapy and then had no idea what to do next.”
“Group classes move too fast and don’t show me what’s safe.”
“I’m afraid of falling or getting hurt again.”
“Online programs don’t account for my limits or my history.”
You shouldn’t have to choose between doing nothing and pushing through pain. You deserve a plan that respects where you are and where you want to go.
