FOR CLIENTS, FAMILIES, AND CAREGIVERS

disabled, adaptive, senior, veterans

If you or someone you care about lives with a disability, neurological condition, or developmental disability, you know how difficult it is to find fitness programming that fits. Most gyms are not designed for adaptive needs. Most trainers are not trained for bodies that work differently.

Resilient Movement is different.

Jeff Williamson is a certified Adaptive Fitness Specialist with education specifically focused on training individuals with physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, neurological conditions, and developmental disabilities including autism and Down syndrome. This is a core reason this business exists.

WHO THIS SERVES

  • Physical disabilities affecting mobility, strength, or coordination

  • Developmental disabilities including autism and Down syndrome

  • Chronic injuries or long-term pain conditions

  • Individuals on IO, SELF, and Level One Medicaid waivers

  • Neurological conditions: Parkinson's, MS, cerebral palsy, stroke recovery

  • Mobility limitations from amputation, spinal cord injury, or joint disease

You shouldn’t have to choose between doing nothing and pushing through pain. You deserve a plan that respects where you are and where you want to go.

WHAT CLIENTS GET

  • Individualized training with no templates and no assumptions

  • Exercise modification for specific needs and abilities

  • Progressive programming building real strength and function

MENTAL HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE

For individuals with disabilities, regular physical activity improves mood, reduces anxiety, improves sleep, and increases social engagement. Movement builds confidence. Progress builds self-esteem. Training provides structure, purpose, and accomplishment. Physical activity can also support behavior regulation, impulse control, and structured transitions.

Resilient Movement Company is built specifically for the gap between the clinic and the gym—where independence is either protected or slowly lost.

MEDICAID WAIVER SERVICES

Resilient Movement delivers adaptive functional fitness programming under Ohio Medicaid waiver service categories including Community Integration and Adult Day Services. Many clients participate at no out-of-pocket cost through existing benefits.

Services are structured and documented as waiver-approved programming supporting functional independence, community participation, and Individual Service Plan (ISP) goals. Services are not billed as personal training.

Why continue training after discharge?

After discharge, the support stops—but the need for strength and stability doesn’t.

Without continued training, progress can fade and small limitations can return.

Ongoing strength and mobility work helps reinforce what you’ve built, reduce setbacks, and move forward with confidence.
